Concrete Care & Maintenance Caring for your Stainless Concrete countertops consists sealing with Dry-Treat Stain Proof stone sealer once every 5-10 years for countertops and once a year for sinks. It's available online at www.drytreat.com. Occasionally you may want to apply a coat of clear food grade past wax for added protection and sheen. NOTE: Though they are very stain and acid resistant you should always clean up spills as soon as possible.
Daily Use: Our Stainless Concrete is a world apart from traditional concrete and on par with many granites but you should still be careful and clean up spills as soon as possible. Our sinks should generally be kept clean. Don't leave dirty pots and pans in them for hours at a time and give them a quick rinse after dumping acidic liquids like coffee or orange juice down the drain. Cleaning: We recommend Simple Green all purpose stone cleaner for our countertops and soap and warm water for our sinks. Repairing a chip: If you do get a chip the best way to deal with it is by calling the installer and having them come out to do a professional repair. They are well trained in repairs of all kinds and can make most repairs virtually invisible. Filling of voids or pin holes: During the life of a concrete countertop air bubbles from the casting process may appear. To fill these holes you'll need to call us and order a color matching fill kit. It's a powder that when mixed with a water/polymer liquid will produce a paste you can use to fill the void. After filling you will need to reseal with Dry-Treat Stain Proof sealer. |
